Bad bad experience, I am still annoyed thinking about my breakfast at Delfina which felt like being on a hidden camera TV show.
Let me set the scene: It was Monday morning, around 8:30 , not an unusual time to have breakfast. The restaurant was basically empty and remained empty (which in hindsight doesn’t surprise). Only a couple of people stopped for a take away coffee.
The waitress: chatty, friendly, American, completely useless.
We thought we had plenty of time for a quick breakfast before work – little did we know. We took a seat and our ordeal began. We chose something that seemed quick: toast with jam (1.20) and granola with fruit and Greek yogurt (2.95). We got our coffees relatively quick (you should also mention a positive point, even though it remained the only one) and then we waited. and waited. and waited. It must have been about 20 minutes later that I reminded the waitress who was clearly undisturbed by our growing hunger and impatience and happily danced and sang to Michael Jackson. (by the way, I hate Michael Jackson which did not help either).
After further 10 minutes, Eureka! our breakfast finally arrived. Nothing wrong with the toast (well it was toast… not much you can do wrong there) save the fact that the strawberry vanilla jam clearly was plum, but never mind. The granola on the other hand was funny. A rather big pot of granola came with a tea spoon of Greek yogurt on the side. I mean it was tiny! Even the waitress thought this and brought us about 2 tablespoons of steamed milk. You can imagine that the whole thing was a rather dry affair. Then she disappeared again leaving us without cutlery.
Finally we managed to start eating, having given up on the hope to make it to work before lunch time. . .
We thought we were very clever and asked for the bill when the food was served, also this did not speed up things as we had to remind the waitress twice until we were finally allowed to pay. But still no escape – she did not have change (we paid with a 20 pound note not with 500) and it seemed endless until she managed to get some.
All in all it took almost one hour, it is not good to start a Monday morning like this! I will never ever go there again, in fact I will try to forget this place exists for the sake of my sanity.

- Verdict: I have not been that annoyed with a restaurant for ages. totally unacceptable.
