After I blogged about the frozen yoghurt joint Snog and how little it convinced me,Catty left a comment, suggesting I should try one of her favourite alternatives,Yuforia. And that’s exactly what I did.
Frozen yoghurt is the thing for the stressed foodie who wants to pick up a low calorie and comparably healthy snack between feasting on three course dinners and lunches. It is fat free and, at Yuforia, surprisingly delicious. The exceptional thing about Yuforia is the fact that they somehow manage to make low-calorie fat free frozen chocolate yogurt taste like rich naughty chocolate ice cream! I don’t know how they do it,but I love them for it.
Apart from the chocolate, you can also choose a natural yoghurt flavour or the flavour of the day (which was strawberry on the day of our visit). They offer a choice of toppings which is not as vast as the one at Snog, but it basically contains everything you might want:different fruits, nuts, chocolate, cookies and even marshmallows.
The small size (which is a perfectly reasonable size for a dessert) is not cheap for 3.60 but it includes as many toppings as you want (which is great compared to Snog where you have to pay extra for each topping). Finally let’s talk about the calories:without the toppings, the small portion contains only 70 kcal, this is almost too healthy and means you should possibly add even more chocolate on top!
I can’t wait to return to Yuforia actually, but alas! there are so many other places I have to try first! I got strong recommendation from two ice cream experts,Catty and Bread e tButter, to try the frozen yogurt place Yog. In addition, Scoop apparently serves amazing extra dark chocolate gelato, doesn’t this sound heavenly?
Any other suggestions what frozen pleasure I should not miss this summer?

Hey Ute! How’s tricks? Mega yogurt cravings now
We have a bonafide frozen yogurt obsessive in our office who swears by http://www.sambaswirl.co.uk “Best in London”apparently. Them be big words. Might have to try them out and let you know…Hope you’re well x
I love having rasberries with yoghurt, but for some reason it doesn’t fit with chocolate for me. 3.60 is quite a bit for a small indulgence, health tax?
@Nick –I know…I would die for a frozen yoghurt, they don’t sell them where I am at the moment though
Sambaswirls does look good,so many different flavours which all sound very intriguing. Let me know if you manage to try it out! How’s supper club going?
@Louis –I agree, for me raspberries are better with vanilla…nom. But in the end I like everything with chocolate, very easy to please in this regard. 3.60 is expensive, but then again, that’s what you pay for a pint or a third of a cocktail in a lot of places. All relative really…
I sooooo need to try Yog and Scoop too!
@ Kay –have tried Yog today, lovely!!
