HIBA (London Bridge)

Meze, if done well, are among my favourite foods for an uncomplicated girls’ night out. Just order a few plates to share with some pita bread and a bottle of wine and chat the night away, and this usually without breaking the bank.

 HIBA (London Bridge)

The Lebanese restaurant Hiba about 5 minutes walk from London Bridge down Borough High Street doesn’t look like much from the outside. Sharing a common front with Costa Coffee, which in my opinion does really crap coffee and I avoid like the plague, one might think it’s just some basic take away. You couldn’t be more wrong.

ANTEPLILER (Islington)

There is a plethora of Turkish restaurants on Upper Street in Islington and the food can be a bit hit and miss. The food at Antepliler clearly fell into the former category. We went there for a quick Sunday lunch before going to the London Art Fair at the Business Design Centre after reading the very positive review on Time Out.

JAK’S (CHELSEA)

Category: Bistro JAKS (CHELSEA)

I have to say I like this place. Jak’s is a deli/cafe which – despite of being in the middle of Chelsea, in walking distance from Harrods and surrounded by a plethora of pretentious bars and overpriced restaurant – has managed to maintain its character. We wanted to try Jak’s for a long time, but usually on weekends for brunch it’s absolutely packed and I am not a big fan of queues when I’m hungry, but finally we made it on a Friday evening.
